Founder in the 60's of the influential Incredible String Band and the Merry Band of the 70's, Robin has been a key figure at the forefront of the storytelling revival in Europe and America since the 80's. He has authored a number of books including The Craneskin Bag (re-telling and re-versifications of Celtic lore) and Celtic Bards, Celtic Druids (co-authored with R.J. Stewart). Robin is Honorary Chief Bard of The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD), and an honorary Druid of the Order of the Mithril Star (OMS/RDG). He's also a personal friend of Arch-Druid Ceridwen Seren-Ddaear of the OMS. Up to the late 1990's, Robin used to frequently tour the United States and Canada, but these days he stays in the UK, close to his home in Cardiff Wales, and mainly tours with his wife, Bina. |
